Responsibilities:
Complete Building Services, (CBS) is currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join us in supporting a large government facility (1 million sq. ft.) located in Washington, DC.
The Maintenance Mechanic shall have the ability to perform general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge in such trades as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry work. Shifts M-F 7:00 am-3:00 pm, 3:00 pm-11:00 pm and 12:00 am-8:00 am.Salary range $44.00 - $46.60 per hour.
Repairs and maintenance of:
- Replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors
- Patch minor holes and cracks in walls or ceilings using plaster or compound
- Repair or replace sinks, water coolers, and toilets
- Painting of structures and equipment
- Repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks
- Replace damaged paneling and floor tiles
- Hang doors and install door locks
- Replace broken window panes
- Perform general maintenance on equipment and machinery
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
What we are looking for in your resume:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) years' of experience within the past five (5) years as a Maintenance Mechanic in a building of similar size (1,000,000+ sq.ft)
- Shall have completed vocational and technical training in HVAC Mechanic maintenance and service work
- CFC/EPA certification required
- Must possess ability to identify common causes of building system failures
- Must possess ability to conduct routine testing procedures
- Meet project assignments on time
- Must possess ability work on several assignments simultaneously and prioritize work
