Responsibilities:

The Group Director of Pharmacy is responsible for organizing and supervising all aspects of daily pharmacy operations to ensure safe medication management processes throughout each of their hospitals. Manages budgets for pharmacy staff and inventory.
Establishes communication with physicians and staff to ensure proper patient care. Keeps abreast of technological and clinical practice changes and implements improvements as necessary. Ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies as well as with hospital policy and procedures.

The Multisite Director of Pharmacy is also responsible for coordinating the activities between their hospitals in a manner that optimizes resource utilization.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
  1. Current state Registered Pharmacy License.
  2. At least 5 years Hospital Pharmacy experience with at least 2 years administrative experience.
  3. B.S. degree in Pharmacy required.
  4. Doctor of Pharmacy or Master’s Degree in Pharmacy or related field preferred.
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  6. Experience with hospital pharmacy computer systems, spreadsheets, word processing programs, and other databases required.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $148k to $210k. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
