Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail
  • oriented Assistant Superintendent to join our client's growing team.
The Assistant Superintendent will assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations on multifamily construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

  • DC Area will have the following responsibilities:
  • Assist the Superintendent in managing daily site activities for multifamily projects, including scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and quality control.
  • Monitor and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Work closely with project teams, including architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to ensure project specifications and timelines are met.
  • Perform site inspections and maintain project documentation.
  • Help manage project logistics, including material procurement and equipment needs.

The Successful Applicant

The Assistant Superintendent - Multifamily Projects - DC Area will have the following qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in multifamily construction, preferably with exposure to both wood-frame and concrete projects.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes, including wood-frame and concrete construction.
  • Project Management: Experience managing multiple subcontractors, scheduling, and project logistics in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Safety: Familiarity with OSHA regulations and experience enforcing safety protocols on-site.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in construction management software (Procore, Buildertrend, etc.), Microsoft Office Suite, and general project documentation tools.

  • Salary: $88,000 - $95,000 annually
  • Bonus: 10-15% annual bonus potential
  • Car Allowance: $400/month (based on experience)
