Engineer Automated Plastic Molding
Design, build, program, implement, troubleshoot, and continuously improve equipment control systems including robotics, PLCs, HMIs and vision system equipment used in injection molded automotive parts manufacturing.
*** Identify areas of waste within manufacturing processes to reduce scrap, reject reduction, equipment downtime, and process equipment changeovers.
*** Develop and make recommendations for reliable and feasible automation within budget and schedule constraints.
*** Work with Quality to ensure quality objectives are met throughout continuous improvement projects.
*** Design and implement automated equipment control systems.
*** Create design models, drawings, schematics, user manuals, maintenance guides, acceptance testing protocols, and validation protocols.
*** Identify and monitor overall project costs, timing, and deliverables.
*** Program, test and deploy PLC, HMI, robots, visions systems, and coordinated servo motion using multiple programming languages including structured text.
*** Analyze programming data and identify continuous system improvements.
*** Troubleshoot mechanical equipment control deterrents.
