Purchasing Agent

We are seeking a Purchasing Agent in Kennesaw, Georgia. In this role, you will be handling various tasks related to procurement, order processing, and vendor management, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the end-to-end process of procurement, from placing orders to making payments, ensuring all steps are completed efficiently.
• Convert requisitions into purchase orders accurately and promptly, adhering to our company's policies and procedures.
• Address and resolve any discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders to ensure smooth processing.
• Follow up and close any open or overdue purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and fulfillment.
• Maintain clarity and accuracy in all purchase orders, ensuring they are well-documented and error-free.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring they meet our expectations for quality, pricing, and delivery.
• Review and reconcile accounts payable statements to ensure accurate financial reporting and resolution of discrepancies.
• Use your analytical skills and critical thinking to solve problems and make informed decisions
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is mandatory.
• Prior experience with Epicor is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is required.
• Expertise in ERP Solutions is preferred.
• Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC) will be an added advantage.
• Experience with About Time is necessary.
• Must be well-versed in Accounting Functions.
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) is expected.
• Understanding of Budget Processes is key.
• Familiarity with Buying Processes is required.
