Superintendent - Atlanta GA

Overview:

The Superintendent will support the Contract Sales teams by managing installers and temporary labor on jobsites.

Responsibilities:

• Superintendent manages installers and temp labor on jobsites
• Superintendent is responsible for filling out daily reports, jobsite paperwork, and taking photos of projects
• Installation of Food Service Equipment. This includes refrigerators, freezers, cooking equipment, dish machines, shelving, fabrication, etc.
• Drive company van or 26-foot truck when needed to pick up equipment and make deliveries to jobsite
• Operate pallet jacks, crank jacks, dollies and other related moving equipment. Use of lull or forklift when certified.
• Use of cleaning equipment and chemicals for cleaning up equipment
• Keep all company vehicles, equipment, tools, and premises clean and ready for use
• Ensure doorways, elevators, and hallways are sufficient to allow equipment to safely and effectively be delivered
• Other tasks assigned by Project Manager. Superintendent reports to the Project Manager

Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Skills and Abilities:

Job Requirements:

• Lifting 50-75 lbs with or without assistance; occasionally higher weights are required
• Climbing up to 8ft with ladder. Working on roofs of buildings will be required
• Jobsites located in the Carolinas and Georgia so driving to jobsites required (Longest drive approx. 5 hours)
• Kneeling, squatting, bending, pushing, pulling
• Exposure to noise, heat, cold, slippery, wet conditions
• Will need to be able to travel for overnight and multiple day job assignments
• Must possess the ability to use a variety of hand and power tools including drills, saws, grinding wheels, hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, sockets, tubing benders, files, etc.

Education/ Specialized Certificate Required:

• High School Diploma preferred
• Driver’s License is mandatory
• OSHA 30 Construction Certificate preferred (Singer T&L will provide training once employed)

Experience Needed:

• Experience in handling expensive merchandise and freight
• Previous work demonstrating organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Experience with using tools on a daily basis. Personal toolbox and tool collection desired
• Mechanical experience preferred or construction experience
