Medical Records Clerk

The role is within the government sector and offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurate processing and administration of patient records.
• Operate EHR systems including Allscripts, Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA), and Cerner Technologies.
• Respond to inbound calls, addressing inquiries and providing necessary assistance.
• Conduct audits on medical records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Manage billing functions, ensuring correct invoicing and timely payment.
• Prepare charts and graphs to visualize patient data and health trends.
• Oversee claim administration, ensuring all claims are processed and resolved effectively.
• Use Epic Software for managing and tracking patient data.
• Ensure all patient records are kept confidential and secure.
• Continually update skills and knowledge in the field of medical record keeping. • Proficiency in using Allscripts, a healthcare information technology solution.
• Familiarity with the Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA).
• Experience in using Cerner Technologies, a health information technology system.
• Proficient in using EHR SYSTEM, an electronic health record system.
• Knowledge of Epic Software, a healthcare software used in hospitals and clinics.
• Ability to handle and efficiently answer inbound calls.
• Strong auditing skills to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Experience in performing billing functions in a medical setting.
• Capable of creating and interpreting charts and graphs related to healthcare data.
• Experience in claim administration within a healthcare setting.
