Currently, we are seeking a Visual Merchandiser to assist our Show Operations team and our clients, by being responsible for supporting the companys needs regarding all visual merchandising need during the Show Season (typically January and August).The duties performed by the Visual Merchandiser tasks must be completed in a quick manner, while ensuring to still follow all safety procedures. The hours will fluctuate on an as needed basis, with busiest times being in January/February and August..
Qualifications:
Effectively read the planograms and directionsExperience in visual merchandising with a focus in gift and home
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
NY NOW and or other tradeshow visual merchandising experience preferred
Experience with NY union preferred
Must have a portfolio
Ability to bend, twist and lift 50+ lbs. along with standing for long periods of time.
What it entails:
Fixture installation Set up:
Work with union carpenters and or electricianEnsure that they union workers are executing the process correctly
Planogram will be provided for fixture set up
Visual Merchandising set up:
Planograms and pictures from past seasons will be provided to referenceStage the merchandise according to the planogram
There will be Brand Ambassadors will be present to help unpack boxes. The visual merchandisers will be responsible to merchandise and stage the product according to Harper Group execution standards.
Tear down:
1st day of tear down:
ALL product packaged upWork with brand ambassadors to bubble wrap, label boxes and effectively pack boxes for key accounts
2nd day of tear down:
Work with brand ambassador and union to get fixtures back into crates or palletsMake sure that fixtures are packed well not to avoid damage in shipping process
