As a Medical Billing Specialist your Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Manage and process insurance and patient payments, both manual and electronic
- Interpret and explain charges, services, and policies regarding payment of bills to patients or responsible parties
- Ensure daily and monthly balancing of payments
- Prepare and manage all collection accounts after three patient statements, acting as a liaison to collection companies
- Conduct written and/or verbal inquiries to third party payers to reconcile patient accounts
- Keep the management updated on billing and reimbursement trends
- Assist with resolving insurance rejections using software technology, insurance websites, and other online tools
- Stay updated on billing regulations and third-party requirements
- Adhere strictly to HIPAA guidelines and maintain utmost confidentiality
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by the management.

The ideal Medical Billing Specialist will have:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience with Appeals procedures in a healthcare setting is required
- Must have experience with Cerner Technologies
- Must be adept at using EHR SYSTEM
- Proficiency in Epaces is a must
- Familiarity with Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) is required
- Must have knowledge of Benefit Functions
- Demonstrated skills in Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary
- Proficiency in Billing Functions in a healthcare environment is essential
- Experience in Claim Administration is required
- Proficiency in Allscripts software is essential
