Job Description

Job Summary:The VP Credit Risk Review Officer will focus on conducting comprehensive credit reviews and loan reviews for leveraged corporates and wholesale credit risk. This role requires a deep understanding of corporate finance, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

The position is part of the third line of defense, providing an independent assessment of credit risk management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Credit Review: Conduct thorough credit reviews and loan reviews for leveraged corporates and wholesale credit risk, including financial statement analysis, industry trends, and competitive positioning.
  • Independent Assessment: Provide an independent assessment of credit risk management practices, identifying potential risks and recommending improvements.
  • Risk Management: Monitor and assess the credit risk of existing leveraged corporates and wholesale credit portfolios, identifying potential risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support credit review and assessment processes.
  • Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes impacting leveraged corporates and wholesale credit risk.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive credit review reports, risk assessments, and presentations to senior management and risk committees.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including credit officers, portfolio managers, and legal advisors, to support the execution of credit review processes.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or CFA designation preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in credit analysis, corporate finance, or investment banking, with a focus on leveraged corporates and wholesale credit risk.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent understanding of corporate credit risk and credit review methodologies.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • High ethical standards and commitment to professional integrity.

What's on Offer

$175,000 - $185,000 base salary.
