We are in the process of hiring a Director of Finance and Operations in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be involved in numerous aspects of financial management, human resources, and facilities, technology, and security management.
Responsibilities:- Overseeing the planning and implementation of the company's annual financial plan and budget.
- Supervising general ledger and trust accounting activities.
- Collaborating with the executive team to enhance financial controls and analyze crucial financial reports.
- Conducting internal audits to uphold the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and controls.
- Streamlining accounting and billing practices to ensure efficiency.
- Overseeing and supervising the firm’s expense, payments, invoicing, and collections functions.
- Liaising with IT, detail oriented services, and other vendors to facilitate the smooth function of the company's technology and facilities.
- Approving the purchasing of office equipment and supplies and coordinating procurement and renewal of various insurance policies.
- Managing firm investments, including related tax and financial reporting.
- Assisting partners on various risk and compliance activities and strategic initiatives.
- Overseeing firm hiring activities including interviewing, selection, onboarding, and training.
- Supervising the payroll function and administering the company's health and benefit plans.
- Evaluating all non-legal staff and making recommendations to the Executive Committee regarding their roles and responsibilities, salaries, bonuses, and relevant HR decisions.
- Coordinating special facilities construction and improvement projects and, as needed, office relocations.
- Supervising staff training on using the company's technology and its applications productively.
- Working with IT vendors to ensure that cyber and physical security measures meet industry standards and are up to date. • Possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a finance and operations role.
- Proficient in 3M software.
- Demonstrated experience with various accounting software systems.
- Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is essential.
- Must be able to efficiently use Concur software.
- Experience with CRM systems is a must.
- Solid understanding of accounting functions.
- Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) is required.
- Ability to create and manage an annual budget.
- Proven experience in auditing and budget processes is crucial.
