Receptionist
At Sager Electronics, we are seeking a part-time Corporate Receptionist to join our team in Middleboro, MA. The Receptionist acts as first point of contact for callers and visitors. Provides a variety of clerical activities and related tasks including answering incoming calls, greeting and helping visitors, mail distribution, and tasks/projects for other departments as needed.
Regular Hours: Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM (total of 17.5 hours per week).
Additional Coverage: This role is part of a job share arrangement and will also be responsible for covering the afternoon Receptionist shift (from 11:30 AM to 5:00 PM) during times of vacation or sick leave.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor a four-line switchboard by properly directing phone calls in a prompt and efficient manner, transferring callers to voicemail, or redirecting calls appropriately.
- Receive customer’s mail payment of invoices, and FedEx payments to a lockbox for deposit only.
- Greet and direct visitors in a courteous and professional manner ensuring the visitor signs in upon arrival and out when exiting the building. Create the visitor badge to wear while in the building.
- Assist sales by validating customers exists by researching the website, address, email addresses etc. and follow up with sales as needed.
- Open, screen, and coordinate the delivery of all mail received at corporate headquarters by segregating mail by department and ensuring delivery to each department.
- Provide administrative and clerical services as needed.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma.
- The ability to read and write English and compute accurate business math at a level required for successful job performance.
- 0-2 years of experience in a customer service, clerical, or administrative capacity.
- The ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Multiline switchboard; entry-level MS Office (Word, Excel).
- Familiarity with fax and copy machines.
- Excellent verbal communication skills including phone etiquette and correct English usage.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision; professional and courteous demeanor; punctual; customer service driven.
