Job Description:

An established multi-specialty medical practice is seeking full-time experienced Medical Receptionists that believe in outstanding patient experience and exhibit compassionate and excellent service core values. This position is for our Primary Care office located in Ridgewood, Queens.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients warmly and in a professional manner, both in person and over the phone.
  • Schedule and manage patient appointments, ensuring efficient utilization of provider time.
  • Verify patient insurance information and eligibility.
  • Collect patient demographics, medical history, and other relevant information.
  • Answer and direct phone calls, taking messages as needed.
  • Manage patient records and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Process patient payments and handle billing inquiries.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
  • Assist with general office tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience as Medical Receptionist.
  • Extensive knowledge of insurance verification.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • A positive and can-do attitude.
  • The ability to learn quickly and adapt to new procedures.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and medical software.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
