About the Role:
You will develop and execute strategic internal communication plans to support organizational changes and change management efforts. This role requires creativity and new ideas in creating messages that engage employees across different channels.You will work with leadership to ensure consistent, and impactful communication that supports our goals and programs. You will not only establish communication frameworks and strategies, you will also complete these and put them into practice across the company globally.
You will report the Medidata Chief People Officer.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, and execute comprehensive internal communication strategies to support change management efforts.
- Create compelling content for internal communications, including emails, newsletters, intranet updates, and leadership communications.
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure consistent messaging and alignment with organizational goals.
- Monitor and analyze communication metrics to measure the effectiveness of internal campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Oversee the development of communication plans for organizational changes, ensuring all employees are informed and engaged.
- Manage internal communication channels and ensure accurate sharing of information.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in internal communications and change management.
- Support, write, and edit communications content, leadership messages, and technical updates during complex situations.
- Develop a pulse for sentiment among employees, and a clear understanding of how daily work maps back to company priorities
- Partner with leaders of each business to guide thought leadership and provide communications counsel
- Mine for story ideas and produce content across multiple audiences
- Promote our culture through strategic communication initiatives.
- Partner closely with Medidata's Change Management Lead to stay abreast of business changes and evolving communications needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. Experience in a similar role within a complex organization. Experience building communications programs and plans, including creative solutions to engage audiences, finding ways to incorporate social media and more. Project management and organizational abilities. 8+ years of experience with change management and internal communication tools and platforms. Eagerness and ability to learn quickly and explain broad subject matter effectively. Prior experience supporting company transformations. A creative and design forward mentality.

The annual base salary range for this position is $120K - $162K.
