Media Producer | Veritas Media

The Media Producer is an instrumental role within the Veritas Media team and provides creative and professional execution of video production across a variety of projects. This position requires owning the entire production process: pre-production planning, creative shoot execution, post-production, and delivery.
The Media Producer works closely with the Managing Director, editorial staff, and contractors to ensure that each project is done within the creative and technical scope of the project. Outside of production responsibilities, the Media Producer must have a knack for troubleshooting technology and video systems, understand video data management, and be able to work under pressure and tight deadlines, often in a live high-stakes environment.

They must also be skilled at leading others and working directly with clients.

This position requires extensive travel and time away from the office.

5 Major Roles:
  1. Take ownership of the video production process managing projects from beginning to end
  2. Lead productions through coordination and directing of on camera talent and project resources
  3. Provide technical sound and high-quality capture of video, audio, and photography assets in the field and in studio
  4. Maintain video/photography equipment and the physical studio space
  5. Professionally represent and promote the Veritas Media brand online and in the community

  • Collaborate on and lead pre-production creative meetings (including, shot planning, location scouting, creating lighting plans, and other creative activities to execute on the vision of the Managing Director).
  • Direct video shoots (including interviewing and directing talent).
  • Direct crew and talent in their responsibilities during productions.
  • Operate recording equipment (audio and video) on-location and in-studio and achieve consistent creative results.
  • Operate photography equipment to create high-quality and useful photos for internal and client projects.
  • Participate in internal business strategy meetings and help to streamline internal workflows.
  • Lead and manage crews to execute event A/V engagements, including live streaming, and hybrid events and video playback in various venues.
  • Maintain and manage gear inventory and usage.
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, and additional hours when necessary
  • Research and stay current with new equipment, technology, and software.
  • Represent and promote the Veritas brand online and in the community.

Compensation:

  • Full-Time, Exempt
  • Salary $75,000 - $80,000 per year, DOE
  • Annual Cost-of-Living Adjustments

Requirements: Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Must be highly motivated, confident, and an energetic self-starter.
  • 3-5+ years of demonstrated professional filmmaking and video production experience
  • Current Part 107 s UAS License
  • Proven experience and ability to coordinate and work with clients and contractors in various roles.
  • Proven ability to visualize a creative concept in a written treatment and realize that vision through leading others to accomplish it creatively.
  • Proven experience and ability to manage a diverse group of external stakeholders.
  • Solid working knowledge of cinema and studio cameras, broadcast equipment, lighting and audio equipment and photography equipment.
  • Deep knowledge of audio and video editing applications, effects, and workflows.
  • Robust knowledge of the Apple/Mac ecosystem and the ability to troubleshoot.
  • Ability to work under the pressure of live events, tight deadlines and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • May be called upon for lifting, pulling, climbing, bending, carrying, and pushing as needed to set up activities and events.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to travel frequently
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Pre-employment drug screening
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
