Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

The Non-Invasive Cardiology RN ensures patient safety during diagnostic procedures and maintains communication with the physician and manager to ensure operational flow throughout the day. The RN must stay abreast of departmental and industry standards and communicate relevant changes to the department staff.

This position has an on-call requirement with a 30-minute response time.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
  • The qualified candidate must graduate from an accredited RN program, possess a current California RN license.

Current American Heart Association (AHA) ACL and BLS Certifications; Current National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification

Has full command (verbal and written) of the English language. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position. Current knowledge and skills appropriate to age/type of patient population served; 12 Lead EKG interpretations required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
  • 1-year acute care experience; Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Department; Telemetry experience may be considered; Ability to identify and interpret ECG Rhythms, knowledge of vasoactive medications."
