Accounting Manager

We are currently recruiting for an interim (6-month contract) knowledgeable and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our dynamic consulting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of 2 and will heavily concentrate on reviewing and recording payroll entries for our extensive employee base exceeding 3500 personnel.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and oversee all payroll functions, ensuring all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
2. Review and record payroll entries for over 3500 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and guidelines.
3. Lead a team of 2accountants, providing mentorship, guidance, and allocating tasks effectively.
4. Conduct regular payroll audits to ascertain precise record-keeping and compliance with state and federal laws.
5. Collaborate with Human Resources and Finance departments for payroll preparation and reconciliation.
6. Develop and maintain payroll procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
7. Prepare payroll reports for management, as required.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role within the construction/contracting industry.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential.
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is necessary.
• Demonstrated ability to manage all Accounting Functions.
• Proven experience handling Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Prior experience in Auditing is required.
• Knowledge of ADP - Payroll is important.
• Experience with Domestic Payroll is a must.
• Familiarity with HRIS Payroll System is required.
• Proficiency in SAP ECC is desirable.
