Brake Line Lead- 3rd Shift - Cummins
DESCRIPTION**
Coordinates the activities of a group of employees in order to meet established production specifications and schedules including volume, cost, wastage targets and quality standards.

**Education, Licenses, Certifications:**
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
**Experience:**
Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Core Responsibilities:**- Coach and mentor to production associates cross training in all facets of Brake Line Operations
- Responsible for start of shift, mid shift and end of shift communications
- Conduct safety, quality, and process audits daily to sustain and improve team and department
- Maintain quality standards on shift and support 5WHY investigations to eliminate and mitigate poor quality performance
- 1st responder in tooling and equipment downtime to investigate and trigger countermeasures. Support maintenance to increase tooling and equipment related uptime
- Provides feedback to Operations Management, Temp Staffing Supervisor to offer suggestions and continually improve programs/processes for quality/productivity gains
- Coordinates with supervisors to obtain extra assistance where applicable
- Follows up with recent new hires to answer questions and evaluate new hire program and/or program effectiveness
- Signed off in each job on the shop floor in the designated area – Brake Line
- Scheduling understanding and shift handover coordination – What are we running, what’s next
- Understands the material and process flow for Brake Line production process from Main Line through shipping
- Ability to communicate via email, text, phone with hourly staff and leadership staff
- Performs other related activities as assigned
- Team Start of shift communications addressing Safety, Quality and Delivery
- Mid shift review on daily performance and support
- End of shift downtime report including safety and quality feedback
