Human Resources Specialist - EHS
This involves developing and implementing EHS policies, conducting risk assessments, and organizing safety training for employees. The specialist collaborates with our EHS leaders to investigate incidents, recommend corrective actions, and ensure alignment with local and national safety standards.
Additionally, they monitor workplace conditions, promote initiatives that reduce hazards, and maintain records to track safety performance and continuous improvement. Responsibilities- Develop, plan and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
- Responsible for ISO 14001 Environmental Standard Programs, policies, and documentation
- Development of safety and environmental training material and training for all employees including managers
- Lead accident investigation ensuring all documentation completed in a timely manner
- Management of worker compensation claims
- Maintaining facilities safety and environmental signage
- Responsible for participating in the company’s 5s program
- Provides informative, signs, posters, barrier and other materials
- Represents the organization in community or industry safety groups and programs
- To warn of potential and actual safety hazards and to prevent access to hazardous condition
