We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in NEW HOLLAND, Pennsylvania, 17557-9220, United States. The Accounts Payable Clerk will play a crucial role in our team by managing payable invoices, maintaining vendor files, and ensuring accurate and timely entry of vendor invoices into the accounting system.

Responsibilities:
  • Handle the processing of payable invoices in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Maintain and manage vendor files for easy access and reference.
  • Ensure timely and accurate coding, batching, and entry of vendor invoices into the accounting system.
  • Monitor and verify all vendor statements for accuracy.
  • Print all accounts payable reports and documents for record-keeping.
  • Assist in monthly closings, including reconciliation of the accounts payable.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support the account's payable function.
  • Maintain all accounts payable files for future reference and auditing.

  • Candidate must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Higher education in accounting or related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role in accounting is required.
  • Familiarity with accounting software is necessary, specifically with Accounts Payable (AP) systems.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting payable principles is required.
  • Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records is necessary.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
  • Solid data entry skills along with a knack for numbers is required.
  • Proficiency in English and in Microsoft Office is necessary.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines is required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team is necessary.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the country of employment.
