Description

Kanawha Scales & Systems, LLC, a world leader in the weighing and automation industry, is looking for someone like you to join their team as a Service Coordinator for our Virginia operations. In this role located in Roanoke, you would be responsible for duties and responsibilities in our Bristol and Pikeville location.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Field all service-related phone calls and efficiently schedule technicians to complete all required service work, tasks, and preventative maintenance contracts, in a fast-paced environment, these tasks are backup to the Service Manager.
  • Provide our customers with a friendly and pleasant response to their needs
  • Notify customers in advance to maintain our service schedules
  • Ensure all the proper project pricing information is on the job ticket(s) so Accounts Receivable can invoice in a timely manner
  • Parts ordering
  • Shipping & Receiving
  • Record keeping, including ISO documentation, vehicle maintenance and training records
  • Manage call out schedule

Qualifications & Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Proven initiative and a positive attitude
  • Highly dependable
  • Required to work overtime, when necessary
  • Knowledge and proficiency in basic computers/software skills
  • Pass drug test
  • Submit to a background check

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Service-related background

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position; typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear, use hands to finger, grasp, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms, walk; lift push or pull objects up to 50 pounds.

Hand-eye coordination necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
