The TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY (TRFKB) on Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, GA is seeking a Program Representative. The candidate will be the COLUMBIA (CLB) On-Site Representative to TRFKB supporting life cycle sustainment efforts to include organizing, hosting, and facilitating video conferences; acting as liaison and CLB subject matter expert with submarine maintainers, naval organizations, and Electric Boat design team members; facilitating familiarization tours by various entities supporting CLB; transferring CLB knowledge and documentation between EB and TRFKB, and participating in CLB industrial and depot (I&D) equipment design meetings; occasional travel in support of CLB team meetings; and other miscellaneous tasking in support of D706 and CLB sustainment efforts.
The primary responsibility for the Program Representative is to provide direct support to a growing D706 ensuring accomplishment of established program initiatives, communicating the progress of any project assigned and working in conjunction with the team to resolve problems as they arise.This position will be responsible to the D706 Engineering Supervisor for administrative support.
The successful candidate will:
- Have a thorough working knowledge of all Microsoft Office components.
- Possess strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and work both independently and in a team environment.
- Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills and be able to effectively collaborate with a wide range of internal and external organizations at multiple levels of management.
- Be highly motivated, well-organized with strong project management skills.
- Have a strong fundamental understanding of engineering concepts and basic understanding of relationship between electronic, mechanical/piping, and structural systems/components.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to use/understand NAVSEA/SP drawings, technical manuals, ship system manuals and various other documents in the performance of this task
- 8+ years’ experience in maintenance planning, material management, and submarine experience
- 8+ years’ experience leading projects and multi-discipline cross functional teams
- Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance
- Internal candidates must be from organizations outside of QP Operations (Gabriel).
Preferred:
- Previous experience in Project Management, government activities, construction, electrical/electronic systems, military experience, and OSHA certification.
