Position Description :

Serco has a great opportunity for a Project Leader who has experience providing support services to the U.S. Navy. The Senior Project Manager will serve as a “subject matter expert” in the critical Fleet support to ensure surface ships meet all current and future mission requirements.

Serco supports the US Navy as a prime for the SEA 21 Professional Support Services which integrates maintenance strategies, modernization plans, training needs, and technical, logistics, and programmatic efforts to best manage the lifecycle of all non-nuclear surface ships and systems from fleet introduction through transfer to disposal.

You will work as an advisor to the Data & Metrics directorate within SEA 21 that reports directly to the Flag Officer assigned as Director, Surface Ship Maintenance, Modernization and Sustainment. You will provide executive level support helping to lead across multi-functional teams performing strategic analysis with artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies for improving Navy maintenance planning, execution, and logistics.

In this role, you will:

  • Support partnership efforts with the Office of Research, industry and academia (collaborating teams across military, civilians, etc.).
  • Develop IT fielding strategies, ensuring alignment of latest technologies with mission requirements for Navy surface ships.
  • Build relationships with senior Navy leadership from Fleet, TYCOMs, etc. for “Get Real Get Better” improvement efforts.
  • Assist in developing guidance and standardization efforts for analytics documentation, Basis for Measurement.
  • Assist in developing GAO/Congressional RFI responses.
  • Develop process improvement initiatives and making recommendations to drive impactful changes in government processes.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Active Secret security clearance is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical discipline in the maritime field plus 5-7 years experience.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor's degree additional years of experience in this specialized filed will be considered.
  • Proven Leadership roles within the surface navy community.
  • Expertise with the acquisition process (contracts/SIBRs.
  • Proven ability to conduct analytical studies using various data sources.
  • Ability to travel 10%

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary for this role is $93,730.00 to $187,460.00 however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
