AS589 - Part-Time Housekeeper - Upper East Side - New York

Overview:

A lovely family of three is seeking a part-time housekeeper to assist with their home on the Upper East Side. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 7:30am-11:30am or 8am-12pm, totaling 20 hours per week. The ideal start date is March 31, with some flexibility.

Responsibilities:

• All care of a 3000sq. foot apartment, including deep cleaning and daily tidying
• Organization projects
• Ongoing upkeep of stone, glass, silverware, and other fine materials
• Maintaining appliances throughout the year
• Care of a small dog, including feeding, going on short walks, and taking to the groomer as needed
• Laundry and ironing of clothing and table linens
• Assistance in the kitchen- prepping ingredients and very basic meal preparation for a toddler

Qualifications:

• Friendly and kind
• Proactive and able to work without extensive instruction or management
• Enjoy working around pets and children
• Attention to detail
• Adaptability- able to have a plan, but accommodate the timely needs of the household as well

Requirements:

• US work authorization
• Awareness regarding working around children and household dangers such as cleaners, hot irons, etc.
• Covid vaccinated and willing to get an annual flu shot
• Ideally willing to travel to the family's home in the Hamptons during the summer months approximately twice per week, this is NOT required

Salary and Benefits:

• $30-45/hr. DOE
