Overview:
As a Business Development Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Business Development team in identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities. The primary responsibility of this role, will be to facilitate the coordination of activities related to lead generation, client relationship management, and proposal development.This position will also support the office team with any projects or needs as they come up.
Responsibilities:
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Assist in identifying potential business opportunities through market research, prospecting, and lead generation activities. This may involve researching industry trends, identifying target markets, and compiling lists of prospective clients or partners.
- Client Relationship Management: Support the cultivation and maintenance of relationships with existing and potential clients. This includes coordinating communication, scheduling meetings, and providing assistance in responding to client inquiries or requests for information.
- Proposal Development: Collaborate with the business development team/leadership to prepare and submit proposals, bids, and presentations in response to client requests or opportunities. Assist in gathering relevant information, formatting documents, and ensuring compliance with submission requirements.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of business development activities, including leads, opportunities, contacts, and interactions. Track the progress of opportunities through the sales pipeline, providing regular updates to the team.
- Marketing Support: Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns to promote the organizations’ products or services. This may include coordinating the creation of marketing materials, managing social media accounts, and tracking campaign performance.
- Event Coordination: Coordinate logistics for business development events, such as conferences, trade shows, and networking events. This includes organizing travel arrangements, booth setup, promotional materials, and post-event follow-up.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct research and analysis to identify industry trends, competitive intelligence, and market opportunities. Provide insights and recommendations to the leadership team based on findings.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the business development team, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining documentation.
Qualifications:
Qualifications and Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably collaborating with multiple executives
- Previous experience in Federal and/or DOE market is preferred. Experience in business development, sales, or marketing support role.
- Knowledge and use of SAM.gov preferred as well as FedConnect and Gov.win.
- Familiarity with lead generation techniques, client relationship management systems, and proposal development processes is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Keen attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Able to maintain and develop organizational systems.
- Knowledge of computer systems and other basic office equipment.
- Preferred experience with creating and tracking spreadsheets.
- Preferred experience with contract language.
- Position is on-site in office 5 days a week. Monday - Friday.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive and dynamic work environment.
- Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance.
Education:
- Associate degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
