Must reside in the Eastern Time Zone. Remote position w/travel to HQ in Central MD 1x per month for leadership meeting.

Responsibilities:

Job Summary: As the Director of Revenue Cycle Management, you will play a critical leadership role in overseeing and optimizing the revenue cycle operations of the organization. Your primary responsibilities will include managing billing, collections, claims processing, and revenue integrity functions to ensure maximum efficiency and compliance.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will implement strategic initiatives to enhance financial performance and maintain operational excellence. This role offers an opportunity to lead a motivated team and directly impact the organization's financial success.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the revenue cycle team, providing guidance, training, and professional development.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, set goals, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Keep the Vice President of Revenue Cycle Management informed of personnel issues, staffing issues and any other pertinent information pertaining to and affecting RCM operations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of revenue cycle strategies to maximize cash flow and minimize bad debt.
  • Manage all aspects of billing, claims processing, accounts receivable, and collections.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and payer guidelines.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate reports to inform executive decision-making.
  • Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and IT teams to streamline revenue cycle processes.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements.
  • Train and mentor staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Maintain relationships with payers, auditors, and external stakeholders to address revenue cycle challenges.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements affecting the revenue cycle.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $110-135k, plus 20% annual bonus potential

Qualifications:

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in revenue cycle management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare billing, coding, and compliance regulations.

Licensure/Certifications/Education:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or a related field (required).
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in revenue cycle management, with at least three (3) years in a leadership role (required).
  • Certification in revenue cycle management (e.g., CRCR, CHFP) is a plus.
Preferred Experience
  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field.
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification.
  • Experience in multi-state physician group practice settings.
  • Familiarity with value-based care models and population health initiatives.
  • Proficiency with revenue cycle management software and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Specifically Modernizing Medicine

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
