Farmers Market Sales Associate

We are a friendly, family-owned produce stand seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Sales Associate to help us provide fresh, local produce to our community. If you enjoy working in a team, have a passion for fresh food, and want to be part of a welcoming environment, we’d love to hear from you!

• Greet and assist customers with their purchases, providing exceptional customer service.
• Stock, organize, and display vegetables and produce to ensure products are presented attractively and remain fresh.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, including tidying up the stand, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste.
• Operate the cash register and handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately.
• Answer customer questions regarding the different types of vegetables and products, offering helpful recommendations when needed.
• Assist in setting up and breaking down the stand each day, including arranging products, setting up signage, and ensuring everything is properly stored.
• Ensure proper storage of produce to maintain quality and minimize waste.
• Assist with inventory tracking and notify the manager when stock is running low or items need to be reordered.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to maintain a positive and efficient work environment.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous customer service experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and have a positive attitude.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry items (up to 30 lbs) as needed.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays, if necessary.
