Baystate Dental is hiring a Dental Hygienist for our office located in Springfield, Massachusetts 01103. This is a part-time working Monday, Wednesday & Friday (8:00-5:00).

Baystate Dental strives to keep up with the latest technology and we are excited about the addition of Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) in our offices. GBT is more effective, more efficient, and patients love it because it's minimally invasive, with the highest level of comfort and safety.
To ensure our hygienists get off to a successful start, the candidate we hire will go through a short training program, so when they begin to see patients, they will feel confident and comfortable in their new position within our team. Great for new grads!
Previous experience is always a plus but we also encourage recent hygiene grads to apply as well, as we have the support and guidance to help new grads feel comfortable and successful. The Hygienist we hire must have an active hygiene license for the state of MA.New grads must be applying for license soon.

Responsibilities:
- Through the delivery of periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services, Dental Hygienists are committed to improving the oral health of patients. Candidates must be enthusiastic about their dental work, and willing to provide the highest level of care at all times
- Under limited supervision, the Dental Hygienist provides oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work.
- Patient screening, medical history and dental charting.
- Application of fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line.
- Provides nutritional counseling, and self-care programs to prevent disease.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Active Hygiene license for the state of Massachusetts
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
