Senior Prep Cook - Jewett Orthopedic Institute, Downtown Orlando Complex
Position Summary:
One of the region’s largest orthopedic and sports medicine providers, Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute’s world-class team of orthopedic surgeons and sports medicine physicians specialize in conditions and injuries of the spine, hand, upper extremities, foot, ankle and lower extremities, as well as joint replacement, concussions, interventional pain management, bone health and orthopedic trauma.The institute’s Downtown Complex brings the whole spectrum of orthopedic and spine care under one roof and includes an orthopedic specialty hospital featuring 75 private inpatient rooms, 10 advanced OR suites, and a research and innovation center with a bio skills lab and 3D printer.
Institute physicians also lead a robust clinical research and education program. An adjacent medical pavilion houses a 63-exam-room outpatient clinic, imaging suite, physical therapy spaces and ambulatory surgery center. Position Summary
Prepares all food items for both patient and non-patient food services, following all production plans and recipes as assigned by the Executive Chef, Operations Manager or Production Leader

Responsibilities:
- Provides the highest quality and service to customers at all times.
- Follows recipes and/or product directions for preparing food products.
- Assists in the preparation, service, portioning, garnishing and storage of food as necessary.
- Assists in maximizing customer and team member satisfaction by promoting teamwork, demonstrating a proactive and enthusiastic
- Promotes safety and sanitation.
- Assists in cooking tasks and preparing hot and cold food products for various outlets and services.
- Evaluates and solves problems, such as the need to substitute items on menus, reusing cooked food products and reducing excess
- Checks production and keeps records in order to accurately plan production requirements and to requisition supplies and
- Demonstrates and promotes the Orlando Health Culture, Values and Commitment to Excellence standards.
- Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state
- Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Education/Training- High School graduate or equivalent required.
- None.
- Minimum of one year of kitchen food production.
