This is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as anResearch & Development Engineering Intern
in
Aurora CO
with Signify.
The Summer internship program is from June 2nd
through August 22, 2025.
In this role you'll support the development of new and maintain existing products at Cooper Lighting Solutions working with the new product development and sustaining engineering teams.
You be responsible for a range of activities, including mechanical and electrical or mechanical testing, electrical or mechaical validation, thermal testing, driver validation, sensor testing and product integration.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new lighting productsConduct mechanical and electrical testing to ensure product reliability and safety
Validate electrical components such as drivers and sensors to ensure compliance with industry standards
Ensure driver suitability and functionality based on product requirements and validate their performance
Conduct sensor testing to ensure proper functionality
Validate multiple components into a cohesive product design
Complete mechanical testing and development
Complete CAD and drawing work
More about you

A current student pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical, mechanical, or related disipline
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
CAD (Solidworks) is preferred- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship needs.

Pay Rate- $23 - $29 per hour (based on year of study)
