We are offering an opportunity for a Benefits Administrator to join our team based in Shelby Township, Michigan. This role will involve managing benefits and onboarding processes, as well as handling some payroll duties. This is a contract opportunity with potential for contract to permanent employment for the right individual.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the benefits enrollment and modifications for the workforce
- Handle and process unemployment claims and matters related to the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
- Maintain regular input of Leave of Absence (LOA)/ FMLA time into the system
- Ensure the timely and accurate entry of new permanent onboarding documents into the system
- Follow up on any missing items related to new permanent onboarding
- Reconcile health insurance bills as part of the role
- Assist with payroll duties as needed
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data privacy standards
- Utilize ADP WorkforceNow for various administrative tasks
- Use Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for entering reports and billing information
- Proficiency in Benefits Administration, necessary for managing and overseeing employee benefits.
- Experience with Benefits Coordination, required to ensure seamless integration of benefits across various departments.
- Familiarity with the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), essential for providing accurate guidance to employees.
- Skilled in Onboarding, to facilitate a smooth transition for new hires.
- Ability to handle Unemployment Claims, to assist in resolving any potential issues.
- Knowledge of W2 forms, crucial for accurate tax reporting.
- Experience with Open Enrollment, necessary for assisting employees during the benefits enrollment period.
