About Our Client

Our client is a widely known nonprofit organization with it's HQ based out of NYC. They're a large organization with over 1500 employees across the Northeast.

Job Description
  • Manage a team of three
  • Supervise all aspects of payroll processing (salary changes, bonuses, taxes, LOA's, disability, etc)
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations for NY, NY and CT
  • Process payroll for 1500+ employees semi-monthly
  • Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of employee payroll records
  • Handle payroll related queries and issues in a timely manner
  • Conduct regular payroll audits to ensure accuracy
  • Provide training and support to payroll staff
  • Collaborate closely with different offices and teams

The Successful Applicant

A successful Payroll Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
  • 6+ years of payroll experience; 2+ years of experience as a people manager
  • Experience processing payroll for 1500+ employees
  • ADP experience required, Workday experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems and regulations
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with various departments
