We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax Staff - Public in WILLOW GROVE, Pennsylvania. As a crucial member of our team, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities related to tax preparation, advisory services, and client coordination within the public tax practice industry.
Responsibilities- Accurately prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, businesses, and non-profit organizations.
- Provide custom tax advisory services to clients by conducting thorough tax research.
- Ensure accurate calculation of tax credits, deductions, liabilities, and adjustments adhering to tax code regulations.
- Maintain and update client records with accurate data entry.
- Assist in tax audits and address tax notices or related issues on behalf of clients.
- Stay updated with changes in federal, state, and local tax laws and industry developments.
- Coordinate with team members to provide efficient client services and manage client relationships.
- Liaise with tax authorities and represent clients in case of tax-related issues.
- Prepare quarterly and annual tax forecasts and projections. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting or a related field
- Proficiency in accounting functions and financial statement preparation
- Demonstrated experience in public accounting audit and tax
- Ability to prepare complex tax returns and understand federal income tax laws
- Experience with annual income tax provision and annual tax calculations
- Knowledge of local tax regulations and income tax accounting
- Proficiency in using Drake Tax Software or similar tax solution software
- Knowledge of gift tax and E1040 tax form preparation
- Familiarity with federal tax return and federal income tax return processes
- Ability to handle the preparation of annual tax provision.
