We are in search of an IT/Service Manager to join our team in the Boston, MA office setts. As an IT Manager, the core function of your role will be to ensure the smooth operations of the IT Services & Support team, maintain the integrity of our systems, and provide consultative support to various departments.
Responsibilities:
- Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the IT services and support team
- Work in collaboration with various teams to understand and prioritize requirements for developing relevant solutions
- Keep up with the latest trends in service management and infrastructure technologies, and incorporate them into our projects
- Implement policies and security controls to safeguard infrastructure and data, adhering to SOC2 guidelines
- Cultivate strong relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure service level agreements are met
- Oversee Helpdesk teams to ensure they meet the established response and resolution times as per the service level agreements
- Lead the response to critical incidents, ensuring swift communication and resolution with minimal impact on business operations
- Constantly monitor and troubleshoot systems to ensure the reliability of services
- Manage the department budget effectively
- Identify and implement improvements in processes, workflows, and systems to enhance efficiency; create and maintain documentation of best practices
- Compile and present reports on metrics, budget, and vendor performance to senior management
- Participate in innovative projects as and when required to support the organization's vision and objectives.
- Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in an IT leadership role, preferably within the Printing/Publishing industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in Budget Management is a must, with a proven track record of effective financial oversight and planning.
- Strong skills in Team Management are required, with experience in leading, motivating, and developing a high-performing IT team.
- Basic Troubleshooting skills are essential, including the ability to diagnose and resolve IT issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Experience in Determining System Improvements is needed, with the capability to identify and implement IT enhancements that increase efficiency and performance.
- Knowledge of Lifecycle workflow is essential, including the ability to manage IT projects from inception to completion.
- Vendor Management skills are necessary, with a history of successfully managing relationships with IT suppliers and service providers.
- Experience in conducting Performance Reviews is required, with the ability to assess team performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Strategic Planning skills are essential, with a proven ability to develop and implement effective IT strategies that align with business objectives.
- Proficiency in IT service management is needed, with experience in managing the delivery of IT services to ensure maximum business value.
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is necessary, with knowledge of its features, benefits, and potential applications in a business context.
