Graduate Manufacturing Technician
Global Life Science Hub is thrilled to partner with a biologics powerhouse on the brink of exponential growth! With 2 commercial products already on the market and a third approval expected any day, they’re expanding and renovating their New Jersey facility to scale up production from 50L to 2000L.
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for recent graduates with a BSc in a life science field to gain hands-on experience in upstream bioprocessing. The associate will be responsible for supporting upstream manufacturing activities, working with bioreactors, and assisting in batch execution under the guidance of experienced team members.Training will be provided to develop technical skills essential to this role.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting up and operating bioreactors under close supervision.
- Participate in activities to monitor, optimize, and scale up bioreactor performance to achieve production targets.
- Record and maintain detailed batch records and operational data in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Participate in the review of batch records and supporting documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with established protocols.
- Aid in preparing, calibrating, and maintaining upstream processing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Support the development and refinement of operating procedures for upstream manufacturing techniques.
- Follow all environmental health and safety (EHS) guidelines in the manufacturing area.
- Adhere to GMP standards and support continuous improvement initiatives to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
- Assist in troubleshooting minor process deviations and equipment issues during batch execution.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement corrective actions to resolve identified issues.
- Work closely with a team of manufacturing associates, engineers, and quality personnel to meet production goals.
- Communicate instructions and information clearly and accurately, adapting to various formats (written, verbal, diagrams).
- Perform additional tasks as needed to meet team objectives, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
Qualifications:
- BSc in Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related field.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with GMP guidelines and general laboratory safety practices is preferred, though not required.
- Willingness to learn, adaptability, and strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.
