Accounting Manager

A client of ours is looking for an Accounting Manager for a contract role. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with leadership, oversee financial operations, and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable financial regulations.

• Manage and oversee the preparation and submission of Payroll Based Journal (PBJ) reporting to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Utilize PointClickCare (PCC) to manage financial records and support accurate medical billing processes.
• Oversee payroll functions, including data management, compliance, and reporting, with a focus on Ceridian Dayforce or comparable payroll systems.
• Provide guidance and support for medical billing activities and ensure alignment with company standards and healthcare regulations.
• Collaborate with internal departments to improve financial processes and ensure accuracy in accounting records.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics.
• Train and supervise accounting staff, ensuring proper workflow and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to federal and state financial regulations, particularly those related to payroll and healthcare.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
• 5+years of experience in accounting or financial management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven experience with Payroll Based Journal (PBJ) reporting and submission.
• Strong technical skills, including prior experience with PointClickCare and payroll systems (such as Ceridian Dayforce or comparable systems).
• Knowledge of medical billing processes and healthcare financial regulations is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and other accounting software.
• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
