Project Accountant Construction - Whitehouse Station

Job Description

Heavy civil contractor, located in Whitehouse Station, NJ, is looking for a Project Accountant to join our team. Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Collaborate with Project Managers to track cost and ensure accurate accounting of project specific expenditures and revenues
• Continuously reviews and improves financial management processes
• Invoicing to clients using Sage 300, various SAP systems, and customer supplied AIA forms within monthly billing deadlines
• Lien waiver management
• Responsible for project closeout documents
• Understanding of WIP schedules
• Change order management
• Review invoice submissions from subcontractors to ensure compliance with contract provisions and budgetary limits
• Compile and analyze job cost reports
• Compile cost impacts based on delays in project schedules
• CCIP and OCIP project enrollments and audits
• Assist with A/R Collections
• Ability to negotiate contracts
• Assist with year end closing
• Miscellaneous projects as requested by management
• Accounts Payable backup when needed
• Backup to Payroll Manager when needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• Strong analytical skills are required
• Attention to detail is a must
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
