Job Description
Project Leadership- Serve as the on-site leader, managing all construction activities and personnel.
- Ensure that all work complies with project plans, specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Lead daily coordination meetings with subcontractors and project teams to maintain alignment on progress and schedules.
- Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules.
- Oversee subcontractor performance, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
- Coordinate material deliveries and equipment usage to keep the project on track.
- Enforce quality standards through regular inspections and ensure adherence to plans and specifications.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
- Conduct safety meetings and inspections to maintain a safe and efficient worksite.
- Act as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, inspectors, and stakeholders.
- Communicate regularly with project managers to provide updates on progress, potential challenges, and solutions.
- Monitor and manage project costs, identifying opportunities for efficiencies without compromising quality.
- Track and manage change orders, ensuring they are documented and approved.

The Successful Applicant- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a superintendent in multi-family housing, senior living, or affordable housing construction.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects from groundbreaking to final turnover.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, codes, and best practices for multi-family construction.
- Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend) and scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Certifications:
- OSHA 30 Certification required; First Aid/CPR and additional certifications (e.g., LEED AP) are a plus.
- Location:
- Familiarity with the Pittsburgh area and the ability to manage multiple local projects.
