We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist (Cell Biology / Molecular Biology / Pharmacology) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in aseptic cell culture, cell-based functional assays, and molecular biology techniques.
This role involves working in a collaborative, matrixed team environment to support drug discovery and development efforts. Candidates with experience in primary cell culture, 3D microphysiological models, transfection/transduction, imaging, and flow cytometry are highly desirable.

The successful applicant should be adaptable, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced industry setting.

responsibilities:

  • Design, execute, and optimize cell-based functional assays to support drug discovery and development, ensuring high-quality and reproducible data.
  • Perform aseptic cell culture techniques, including the maintenance and expansion of primary cells and other relevant cell models, with a focus on 3D microphysiological systems where applicable.
  • Conduct molecular biology techniques such as RNA/DNA extraction, qPCR, western blot, and flow cytometry to characterize cellular responses and assess drug effects.

qualifications:

  • PhD not required but can be considered, 0-2 years of industry experience in biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, or a related discipline.
  • Masters, 6 years of industry experience in biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, or a related discipline.
  • Bachelors, 8 years of industry experience in biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, or a related discipline
  • Expert with standard aseptic cell culture technique, including experience culturing primary cells.
  • Experience with 3D microphysiological cell models is a plus.
  • Broad experience with cell-based functional assays.
  • Experience with cell transfection/transduction, imaging, and flow cytometry is a plus.
  • Basic experience with molecular biology techniques including RNA/DNA extraction, qPCR, and western blot.
  • Experience working in a matrixed team environment at a pharmaceutical company and/or CRO.
  • Broad scientific knowledge in molecular & cellular biology, immunology, pharmacology or toxicology are recommended.
  • Self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and flexible with changing priorities.
  • Highly collaborative with demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed team environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
