Responsibilities:
The Manufacturing Technician will carry out diverse mechanical and electromechanical assemblies based on engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform mechanical and electromechanical assembly using a variety of hand tools.
- Conduct documented tests on subassemblies to evaluate performance and validate functionality according to specifications.
- Troubleshoot and repair subassemblies as needed.
- Test systems, subassemblies, and components under specified conditions (e.g., cold temperatures).
- Collaborate with technicians and engineers to propose process and functional improvements.
- Configure and operate PCs in a Windows environment.
- Maintain attention to detail and apply technical skills to ensure quality outcomes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with capital/process equipment, automation, and motion control systems (experience is a plus).
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot effectively.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and eager to learn.
- Ability to manage tasks, meet schedule commitments, and direct team efforts as needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, with robust documentation and record-keeping abilities.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office and other PC-based tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Machine shop experience is a plus.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in electromechanical assembly and testing preferred.
- Leadership experience is preferred but not required.
