About the Role
As a Preschool Spanish teacher at Stratford School, you would work as part of our teaching team to develop lessons appropriate for children between the ages of 3 and 5. You will provide a warm, caring, joyful environment that encourages preschoolers’ natural curiosity, and instills confidence in their innate abilities.
You will also…- Plan, supervise and implement Spanish curriculum
- Collaborate with other faculty and staff members
- Communicate daily with parents or guardians
- Maintain a well-organized and engaging classroom environment
- Educational background with 12 semesters or 18 quarter early childhood education units shall include courses that cover the general areas of early child development, child, family, and community, and program/curriculum or a bachelor’s degree in child development
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior teaching experience with young students is preferred
- Must be fluent in both Spanish and English language
In addition, this position often requires an individual to carry, lift, use repetitive or fine hand movements, and occasionally push, pull, or bend. This position is regularly required to hear and use clear vision with or without correction.
