We are in the search for a Payroll Administrator to join our team in Fontana, California. This role entails handling payroll-related tasks in our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing certified payroll, handling issues related to prevailing wage, and dealing with union-related matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer certified payroll functions to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Handle payroll duties related to unions, ensuring proper deductions and payments
  • Manage prevailing wage issues, ensuring that all employees are paid in line with industry standards
  • Utilize specific payroll systems to process payroll accurately and efficiently
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve any issues promptly
  • Monitor and update the LCP Tracker as necessary
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all payroll transactions
  • Collaborate with the HR team and management to implement payroll policies and procedures
  • Regularly review and update payroll procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll information at all times.

  • Possession of a minimum of 3 years of experience in a payroll administration role
  • Proficiency in Certified Payroll processes
  • Familiarity with Payroll - Union rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of Prevailing Wage practices
  • Strong understanding of payroll procedures and best practices
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with payroll software
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve payroll discrepancies
  • Knowledge of federal and state payroll tax regulations and requirements
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
