We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Canton, Connecticut. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team, working within the accounting industry. This role is primarily focused on assisting with journal entries, month end close, and reconciling accounts.

Responsibilities:

Accurately assist with journal entries as part of the accounting team
Efficiently handle month-end closing activities
Conduct reconciliation of various accounts to ensure accuracy
Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) for financial transactions
Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial integrity
Maintain the general ledger with accurate information
Utilize software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP in carrying out duties
Ensure all accounting tasks are performed in a timely manner for effective operations.
Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
Experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations
Familiarity with General Ledger management
Ability to prepare and process Journal Entries
Experience with Month End Close procedures
Proficiency in using NetSuite and Oracle financial software
Experience with QuickBooks and SAP
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong written and verbal communication skills
