Part Time Content Writer - Claimant Engagement

We are seeking a highly skilled Freelance Legal Content Writer with extensive experience in Mass Tort and Personal Injury (PI) law. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of claimant engagement, especially in the context of Multi-District Litigations (MDLs), and a proven track record in crafting electronic newsletters that drive action and keep claimants informed.

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop and write compelling newsletters that address the progression of specific MDLs (e.g., CPAP, Camp Lejeune)
• Craft content that encourages plaintiffs to take necessary actions, such as submitting medical records or updating contact information
• Ensure that all content is engaging, informative, and tailored to the needs and concerns of product liability plaintiffs
• Leverage prior experience working with claimants to understand their pain points and barriers to engagement
• Utilize best practices in electronic newsletter engagement to maintain high levels of claimant interaction and responsiveness
• Design or collaborate on the creation of effective email newsletter templates that are visually appealing and functional
• Utilize your expertise in Mass Tort and PI law to ensure that all content is accurate, legally sound, and relevant to the current status of MDLs
• If you are a practicing attorney, provide additional insights and legal perspectives that enhance the content's value to claimants
• Write content aimed at optimizing the efficiency of case workup progression, ensuring that claimants are well-informed and motivated to complete necessary tasks
• Develop strategies for improving communication and follow-up with claimants to streamline the legal process

Skills:

• Proven experience as a legal content writer with a focus on Mass Tort and Personal Injury law
• In-depth understanding of MDLs, specializing in product liability, pharmaceuticals, toxic torts and medical devices
• Experience working in a law firm setting, particularly in roles involving direct communication with plaintiffs
• Knowledge of best practices in electronic newsletter engagement and email template design
• Exceptional written communication skills, with a focus on clarity, empathy, and actionability
• Practicing attorney with relevant expertise is a significant plus
• Degree in Law, Communications, or a related field
• Experience in creating content for legal newsletters or similar communications
• Strong understanding of the unique needs and concerns of mass tort and Personal Injury plaintiffs
