Part-Time Medical Front Desk Specialist

This role offers a contract-to-hire employment opportunity with 30 working hours a week during core business hours.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the first point of contact for patients, answering inbound calls and addressing inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
• Conduct billing functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of patient payments and insurance claims.
• Maintain and update patient charts and graphs to accurately reflect patient history and treatment plans.
• Support clinical trial operations, coordinating and administering trials as needed.
• Assist in managing patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and appointment reminders.
• Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized reception area to ensure a positive patient experience.
• Adhere to all privacy and confidentiality guidelines to protect patient information.
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care.
• Continuously develop professional skills and knowledge through training and professional development opportunities.
• Ability to answer and manage inbound calls efficiently.
• Familiarity with billing functions in a medical setting.
• Proficient in creating and interpreting charts and graphs.
• Experience in managing and coordinating clinical trial operations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of medical terminologies and procedures.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further training will be a plus.
• Experience in customer service will be advantageous.
