Behavioral Health School Program Lead (Licensed Teacher Required)

Overview:

The Behavioral Health School Program Lead fulfills all responsibilities in the respective area of practice, assists the Program Manager/Director, and serves as front line manager for staff. Monitors and assists in development of programs, environments and resources that are focused on normalization, coping, and learning.

Responsibilities:

• Provides direct supervision and leads staff in the identification of their own learning. Builds a team environment and fosters cross-functional collaboration.
• Serves as a primary resource for implementation and training for orientation of new employees, including role functions, policies and procedures, and clinical information systems.
• Assists with coordination of departmental performance improvement goals and activities.
• Leads the development and maintenance of documentation tools and reports.
• Maintains professional standards and serves as a role model.
• Coordinates daily clinical operations, scheduling, planning, program productivity, evaluating, Policy/Procedure review, resource management and controlling program services.
• Ensures that staff and programming meet standards established by Nationwide Children's Hospital and external regulatory agencies.
• Effectively relates and interacts with patients, families, health care teams, and supervised staff.
• Serves as an advocate for patient academic programs and services.
• Advocates for patient rights, as well as patient and family centered care throughout Nationwide Children's Hospital.
• Meets regularly with program and department leadership and other clinical leaders.
• Acts as a departmental liaison with internal departments and external agencies.
• Demonstrates professional leadership through participation in committees, research, professional presentations, and continuing education initiatives.
• Engages in leadership roles within NCH and other professional organizations.
• Actively participates in departmental planning, marketing, and implementation of new programs

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education, Health Services, Human Development, Social Work, or related healthcare field required.

Master's Degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Skills:

Strong interpersonal relationship skills, exceptional customer service skills, strong verbal and written communication, negotiation skills and strong decision-making skills required.

Skills in promoting multidisciplinary collaboration; ability to act as a facilitator and change agent. Supervisory skills required to plan, assign, and evaluate the performance of staff.

Analytical skills required to oversee and organize the daily activities of a team.

Experience:

Three years' experience in educational or clinical setting required. Experience in leadership capacity desirable.

MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Standing,walking, sitting, computer work, frequently Bending/twisting, squatting/kneeling, climbing stairs - occasionally
