Responsibilities:

This job requires connecting with people quickly in an outgoing, friendly manner. The use of persuasive communication skills to gain the interest and involvement of others in the work process is an important aspect of the job. An extreme sense of urgency is needed, combined with getting work done in complete, accurate detail and in accordance with company standards and policies.
The motivation for this position comes from a strong sense of duty and a feeling of responsibility for completing work both quickly and correctly. A faster than average work pace is necessary combined with impatience for results. Follow-up of delegated work must be very thorough.
Decision making will be done with the ideas and advice of others, but always carefully and cautiously within the guidelines of established company policy. Selling ideas to others and the ability to train, teach and motivate a team are strong aspects of this position.

Change is an ongoing occurrence of this job and will be approached conservatively and with the support and guidance of management..

  • Consult with client management team (Producer, Financial Representative, Account Manager, CSR and Director) to understand client needs and to develop comprehensive benefit strategies.
  • Prepare and execute on client deliverables related to renewals, marketing proposals, enrollment events and compliance reviews.
  • Thoroughly understand employee benefits solutions and carrier/vendor offerings including unique plan features, pricing methodology and implementation requirements
  • Communicate regularly with clients, and through multiple channels, to ensure that the client service model is being fulfilled
  • Attend training opportunities, read / share industry knowledge and stay updated on emerging trends impacting the employee benefits space
  • Analyze client compliance requirements and implement solutions to address ERISA, Cobra and ACA obligations
  • Document all activities in Brokerage Builder.
  • Other duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Knowledge of group product lines, or the ability to obtain required knowledge within 3 to 6 months of accepting position
  • Client service experience, preferably in the area of employee benefits
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs: Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must
  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Ability to travel locally from 5-30% of the time to meet with clients
  • Must be able to work independently and within a team environment
  • PA Life/Accident & Health License required
