We are seeking an innovative Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. This individual will grow and develop their skills working alongside the Controller in a manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for all Accounts Receivable functions within the company.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all day-to-day Accounts Receivable functions, including billing, collections, and customer set-up.
- Run various A/R, profitability, and other reports on a regular basis for Management.
- Work closely with internal accounting staff and other corporate locations to ensure accuracy of intercompany transactions.
- General Ledger journal entries as assigned.
- Assist in research of expense variances on financial statements.
- Facilitate external audits by maintaining accurate records and providing requested information.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Controller and Management.
Qualifications:
- Effective organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong use of Excel and other Office software applications.
- Ability to learn new software applications, familiarity with integrated ERP systems a plus.
- Familiarity with Utah sales and use tax law.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal.
- Assertive and polite interpersonal manner.
- Knowledge and Understanding of GAAP, some General Ledger experience a plus.
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager.
- Prompt and regular attendance.
Required education:
- Associates Degree or equivalent experience
Required experience:
- 1-3 years accounting experience
