Vice President of IT Operations

Location: Remote (must be based in the US and able to work Eastern Time Zone hours), must be willing to relocate in the future
Travel: 15-20% regional travel

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering required, Masters Degree preferred

Experience: Proven experience in Cross-Functional Global Leadership and establishing strategic partnerships to drive business and technical outcomes, expertise in IT Operations, Digital Transformation, Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, Security and Software Quality and Reliability

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Vice President of IT Operations to lead our Global IT Infrastructure and Operations through a significant digital transformation. This role is critical to our continued growth and success, requiring a leader who can balance strategic vision with hands-on execution.

The ideal candidate will be a champion for innovation, driving speed and automation across all IT functions, while ensuring the highest levels of security, reliability, and user satisfaction. This position reports directly to the CTO.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of IT Operations globally, including Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, Security, Software Quality and Reliability, Helpdesk, IT Support, and Employee Onboarding
  • Spearhead the ongoing digital transformation of our IT infrastructure, focusing on cloud migration, automation, and self-service capabilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with business objectives, prioritizing speed, agility, and cost-effectiveness
  • Champion and drive a self-service vision for IT, implementing automated solutions for the helpdesk and other key functions
  • Oversee cloud and application security, partnering closely with the CISO to ensure a robust security posture
  • Collaborate with other business leaders to understand their needs and provide strategic IT guidance
  • Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of all IT systems and services
  • Establish and maintain metrics to measure IT operational effectiveness and drive accountability
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends, identifying opportunities to leverage them for business advantage
  • Build and mentor a high-performing, global IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Foster an innovation-first culture that embraces calculated risks and rewards creativity.

Qualifications:

  • Progressive experience in IT Operations, with a proven track record of leading and managing global teams of 30+ individuals
  • Demonstrated experience in driving successful digital transformation initiatives within a complex organization
  • Prior experience as a VP of Operations, IT Director, CIO, or equivalent leadership role
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing platforms and DevOps practices
  • Strong knowledge of IT and Cloud security best practices and compliance requirements
  • Experience with automation tools and technologies
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Ability to think strategically and execute effectively
  • Experience working in a global environment.

The US salary range for this position is provided in this posting. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for salaries for the position across all US locations.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
