Job Title(s) Engineering & Maintenance ManagerReports to Plant Manager
POSITION PURPOSE:
Directs and controls the activities of the maintenance function to ensure that all production and support equipment is maintained at levels which are as efficient and reliable as possible.
Ensures that the facility itself is maintained and is a safe work environment.
JOB FUNCTIONS:- Provide direct supervision, technical direction, administrative management, and leadership in the plant maintenance and engineering areas.
- Ensures machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate
- Manage plant-wide maintenance and capital, maximizing asset reliability, uptime, and cost effectiveness with available resources
- Manage plant environmental programs to ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations
- Coordinate energy management optimization activities
- Provide long-range planning for facility and equipment needs including capital and major repairs
- Develops, implements, and oversees predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance programs
- Uses other maintenance disciplines in the development and application of reliability engineering, root cause analysis and troubleshooting of equipment and processes
- Consolidation of Business Unit Results with supporting explanations
- Coaches and develops training plans for all maintenance technicians
- Supervises the Maintenance Supervisor, Storeroom, Project Coordinator, and Planner functions
- Qualify Vendors and Contractors and negotiate terms and conditions
- Shares an obligation to protect and strengthen Graphic Packaging International’s good reputation in our relationships with customers, employees, suppliers, competitors, investors, and governmental agencies, and to act consistently with our core values: Integrity, Respect, Accountability, Relationships, and Teamwork
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred
- 5 years maintenance experience preferred including:
- Computer Maintenance Management Systems (preferably SAP)
- Planning and Scheduling
- Preventative/Predictive/Precision Maintenance
- Central Stores Management
- Reliability Engineering
- Proficient with MicroSoft Office, Outlook ,and internet research skills
- Proven track record of identifying opportunities and the ability to recommend and implement improvements
- Budgeting and negotiating skills
- Project Management
- Leader with exceptional communication skills, good organization, and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Previous environmental experience is a plus
